LET'S FIX THE STEELERS NOW!!

Im about ready to stick a needle in my eye so I don't have to watch the worst run offense in the NFL.

It can be fixed for the rest of this season though with some creativity on the offensive side.  Wide receiver is the biggest issue by far.   We are completely fine at tight end with Darnell Washington and Friermuth. Jalen Warren at running back and bring Kaleb Johnson as his backup now.  A rookie who has the ability and physical tools to break open games.  Wide receiver is my biggest  hange DK Metcalf is the alpha but you need a se ond guy to take some pressure off him.   I'm suggesting Jonnu Smith, who is 6'3 245, and has decent speed and could be a match up nightmare.   Roman Wilson is the 3rd WR and you sprinkle in Calvin Austin and Gainwell would be a  decent slot receiver.  I think this would work using the players on our roster.    What say you?

Why College Coaches Leave

So today, Lane Kiffen leaves for LSU after leading Ole Miss to a top 5 ranking and a chance for the  CFP title. It seems coaches more often than not chase the money instead of staying at one institution for a lo g time.WHY?

To me its relatively simple.  Fan bases are very panicky, especially if you only win 8 games in a season. Big boosters are spoiled thi king they run the program.  In my lifetime as a Penn State fan, Joe Paterno was always there in up times and down. not chasing every dollar he could have gotten.   He donated alot of his earnings back to the  university and what thanks did he get?   He got blamed for transgressions that an assistant coach was jailed for   suffering indignation that completely ruined his career and forced him into retirement and carrying that to his death soon thereafter.   There's  no more duty to the school who puts you on a pedestal.  It's all about the Benjamins now.  Eight years seems to be the limit.  Players leave,  coaches leave.   HASING the life changing money is the real goal.  JMU'S Coach Chesney is making decent money for a sun Belt school but soon could be looking at $million per year from UCLA OR Penn State.   Goodbye Harrisonburg   Stepping Stone University.   I wish him the best because that is where they are as a  destination.   Not enough deep pockets yet to keep our great coaches.  The AD probably is already making a list of who the coach could be next year.  Good luck.
